White Guy Thinks He’s Japanese - Fight Videos part 4

This one has one of the crazier stories. When Max and I were planning out 2020 Chinese New Year trip we decided to go to Japan. The cheapest fights we found were to Osaka so that’s where we decided to go. We also added some time in Kyoto and a quick stop in Nara since they were close by. Later I found out that SJ and Chris were going to be in Osaka at the same time that we were so we decided we were going to spend a day filming something. We didn’t have all that much time to make any choreography and weren’t sure where we were going to film once we got there. Since we didn’t want to spend time making a fight we couldn’t use we decided to just wing it once we got there. We did decide on the story though. Chris was learning Japanese so we decided to go way over the top and have them fight over a Weekly Jump, with Chris yelling in Japanese the entire time and SJ clearly not understanding. To this day I have no idea what Chris was saying. After getting to Osaka we all kept our eyes open for possible places to film and Chris found a nice park. Then we ironed out the story, bought the Weekly Jumps, and met early to start working. We met early so that Max wouldn’t have to sit around waiting for us to finish too long. It mostly worked. She got there after some quick shopping near the end and we finished probably around mid afternoon. I think it came out pretty funny.

We had originally planned to do some more that would follow a similar story. The first would find SJ and Chris playing the same characters in China and SJ would be extra flustered because they weren’t even in Japan. Then if we were all ever in the same place we could do some more. Unfortunately Chris was pretty busy and between that and COVID the second video never materialized, although I’m still hoping we can film it one day.

‘White Guy Thinks He’s Japanese’ was probably one of the crazier fights we did, since we filmed it while we were on vacation. Because of that it was a lot more run and gun than my other already pretty run and gun fights.
